Great and nostalgic Filipino food, though ill-managed. Got here and signed up for wait. It was a 1 hour wait time. I said “ok no problem”, so we took a walk around Americana. 15 minutes in while we were walking we got a text saying “Table is ready”, so my folks ran to Max’s. When we got here, table was not ready! We had to wait another 20 minutes to wait for a table. Additionally, had not my wife approached the mid aged Filipino woman attending the seating, we probably would have to wait another 10 minutes. The waiting time was not the concern for me ~ long time means the place is great. The concern was the miscommunication! Management needs to do a better job being organized and attentive!

My Friends and I had a wonderful experience at Max’s Restaurant - Glendale. The food was absolutely delicious and brought back the authentic flavors of Filipino cuisine. Their famous fried chicken was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. The garlic rice and traditional Filipino dishes were equally impressive and tasted just like home.

We ordered Crispy Pata “to go” but were very disappointed when we got home. As everyone can see from the photos I posted, we got a burned food. What happened with their quality control nowadays? Obviously it’s charred and most likely cooked with old used oil. Called them at once to inform them but their Supervisor Ramir Cruz asked us if we can go back and they would replace it. But it took us 30 minutes of driving and with the gas prices right now! He suggested to give us a credit but with the kind of food quality they have now, I don’t think we will come back anymore.

We recently had the pleasure of having a private room reserved for my family to celebrate an event. I believe they gave us 15 minutes prior to the event start to really add any final touches but the set-up on the tables were already perfect and nicely laid out. The staff were also all very quick with drinks while some people haven’t arrived inside yet and they served many of the foods efficiently and quickly while tending to any requests. The menu picked and served to us were some classic Filipino favorites: pancit bihon, white rice, crispy pata, pork sinigang, kare-kare beef peanut stew, and lumpia shanghai. There were multiple plates of the food, leaving us all very satisfied and filled. They gave us an appropriate amount of time before coming in with desserts. We were served a nice small bowl of ice cream and gelatin. Meanwhile, Maria who was in charge of the event as the coordinator, was a great host and stuck to our cues for carrying out the planned schedule of the night. She did her best to help us out and her laptop easily played my mp4 video formatted files on my flashdrive. Valet parking only. On a Monday night, the wait was short, which was a plus, but unfortunately the food was a big letdown. The pancit canton was rubbery and tasted overcooked. The pork sisig was worse, it had an oddly sour flavor, like chopped pork soaked in vinegar. It didn’t taste right at all. I’m not picky with food, but this was hard to finish. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Incredible experience at Max's Restaurant! The Filipino food is authentic and delicious, the dishes are a true representation of the culture and tradition of the Philippines. We had lunch with my cousins and their son, and it was a pleasure sharing this experience with them, especially since my cousin is Filipino and his wife is Portuguese, which made the meal even more special. The waiter was very kind and attentive, made our dinner even more special with his excellent service and recommendations. The restaurant's atmosphere is cozy and made us feel at home. We will definitely come back and recommend it to all Filipino food lovers!

Ramir helped religiously on ensuring I was assisted and cared for in my experience. Chicken Adobo did not feel authentic and I was not a fan of the full dish. From flavor to texture to quality of chicken. The Milkfish was my most favorite. That was crispy, flavorful and presented with great colors. Garlic fried rice was not the best I’ve had. I would say that the garlic was diced and not rich in flavor. I was to assume full garlic cloves smashed and charred. Bringing out the flavors and also the visuals. Crabmeat fried rice is not as good as expected either. I would say both rice options were a solid 5 out of 5 for me. The Milkfish was a great 9.5 (not sure about the pickled garnish) I was hoping to have an amazing time here since this restaurant name is a very popular and liked Filipino Restaurant. It was very promising to begin with.

This is a great Filipino restaurant known for its chicken. The shrimp pancit was really good, but needed more shrimp. Pork chopsuey was good, maybe a bit salty. We were part of a larger group, 40+ advanced reservation. They accommodated us in an area off the main floor, but it was solely for us; not sure why, it wasn't busy or crowded, and the other small groups/families seated in the vicinity probably would have appreciated seating away from our group as the group was very loud. The service was excellent; always checking back, clearing dishes, bringing specialty condiments, and refilling drinks.
